The Albino Association of Malawi (TAAM)

TAAM was formed in 1995 to promote the interests of persons with albinism who feel that because of their condition they feel discriminated by the society and their needs are not taken of.

Although, armed with a Strategic Plan, the organization has not been able to make any headway during the last year due a number of factors. The main problem has been due to ill management, which has been resolved by the election of new Executive Committee.

Since its election, the new committee has brought in a new lease of life into the organization and promises to change things for the better. The new committee launched the ‘Know Albinism Week’ Campaign with support from FEDOMA, which was publicized by the media.
